The RYA Young Sailors Scheme
This programme is open to all those under 16 and is designed to encourage children to start sailing within a sound framework of safety and good tuition. From the age of 6 we can introduce children to the fun of sailing. Our instructors use simple RYA approved techniques, making learning easy. Great emphasis is placed on safety and the well being of the student. Many juniors return year after year.

Start Sailing RYA Stage 1
(Optimist) 7 - 10 Years
For youngsters who have already completed an Optimist Taster and wish to work towards a Stage 1 in an Optimist. This three day course is identical to Stage 1 Toppers but uses Optimist dinghies.

(Topper /Pico) 10 - 15 Years
A fun way to start sailing, using the Topper or Pico single dinghy. This three day course will teach youngsters how to launch, turn the boat, sail around a short course and recover from a capsize.

RYA Stage 3
For those who have already completed a Stage 2 (Topper) course. This five day course is conducted in variety of boats, Topper, Pico, Laser, Fevas ,420 and develops the skills introduced in earlier courses. Students will follow the syllabus in their young sailors log book.

Junior Clubs
The fun continues after the course with the chance to come along to the Topper or Optimist Clubs. This is a great way to keep juniors sailing without the expense of buying all your own equipment. Most important of all, there is an instructor to look after the youngsters and help them progress their sailing skills. If you book and pay for 3 club sessions in advance you get the fourth one FREE. Single sessions must be booked and paid for in advance.

Optimist Club
For juniors who have completed an Optimist Taster course or above. Provides weekly supervised sessions of sailing, games, training and fun!
