 Water
sports are fun! Whether you're young, old, beginner or experienced, you'll be
welcome. Over the past 22 years, we have introduced thousands to the thrill and
challenge of sailing, windsurfing and canoeing. Our experienced staff are
patient and enthusiastic. The centre uses up-to-date and well maintained
equipment. The Reservoir provides a large expanse of fresh water, offering an
ideal teaching environment, in an area of outstanding natural beauty and Chichester Harbour provides an ideal progression with 11 mile of navigable water
on the edge of the Solent.
We are a recognised Royal Yachting Association (RYA)
and British Canoe Union (BCU) approved centre. Ardingly Activity Centre is
registered by the Adventurous Activities Authority (AALA). This means that we
are regularly inspected for standards of instruction, facilities, equipment and
staff ratios.

SAFETY |

ADULT COURSES |
|
We place great emphasis on safety. Students are provided with buoyancy aids
which they are required to wear at all times when afloat. Dinghy sailors
are provided with one piece sailing suits (waterproofs). Protective
helmets are available for all juniors and adults in single handed
dinghies. Windsurfers are provided with wetsuits and wind tops. The use of
these is included in the course fee. All students should bring their
own footwear for use afloat. We always provide safety boat cover in
accordance with the RYA standards and all instructors are trained in
powerboat handling and First Aid. |

Adult 4 day sailing or 2 day windsurfing course (not Tasters
or canoe courses) booked in 2008, will entitle
you to a FREE visit to the appropriate club. These must be booked and
cannot be carried forward to 2009. |

BIRTHDAY TREATS |
| A birthday
outing with a difference - bring along your friends for a water sports
treat. Have a go at sailing, windsurfing or canoeing. We provide all the
equipment, safety cover and instruction. There has to be at least 6 in a
party to qualify for our junior group rate from £15.50 per junior for a 2 hour
session. From 7 years and upwards. |

For adults, our group rate is from £25 for a 2
hour session - an excellent idea for an office or group activity. Give it
a go .. a great way to try something new and exciting. |
| Having completed a course
or if you are already a competent qualified dinghy sailor or windsurfer,
you can hire our equipment or buy a season ticket or day ticket to use the
water and facilities. Details are available from the centre.

The centre will be open for hiring, day and season tickets until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays,
starting Tuesday 6th May until Thursday 4th September. |

The centre is dedicated to providing tailor
made outdoor education sessions. We run 2 hour P.E. lessons, multi activity
weeks, D of E training and NVQ's. We cater for large and small groups
covering a wide range of activities, most can be linked to the National
Curriculum. Groups enjoy special reduced rates and can take part in one or
any combination of the activities below.
Sailing; Canoeing; Raft building;
Rowing; Coarse fishing; Windsurfing, Orienteering; Nature trail.

ONE TO ONE |

Personal tuition is available on a one to one basis. Contact the centre
to discuss your requirements. Cost £69 for 2 hours. |
