SUMMARY:RYA Stage 1 & 2 (Pico)
DESCRIPTION:The RYA Stage 1 and 2\, is part of the RYA Youth Sailing Scheme providing an enjoyable and progressive way to learn to sail. \nThis is a combined course including RYA Stage 1 and RYA Stage 2. \nStage 1: During Stage 1\, you will learn the basics of sailing\, parts of the boat and how to launch\, recover\, and steer. \n\nRigging\nLaunch & Recovery\nRopework\nSailing techniques & manoeuvres\nClothing & equipment\nCapsize Recovery (Understanding)\nMeteorology\n\nStage 2: During Stage 2\, you will continue to develop basic sailing skills\, as well as ropework and collision avoidance. You will be able to tack and control boat speeds\, leaving you in a good position to progress to Stage 3. \n\nRigging\nLaunch & Recovery\nRopework\nSailing techniques & manoeuvres\nUnderstanding Principles\nCapsize Recovery\nGeneral knowledge\nRules of the Road\nMeterology\nClothing & Equipment\n\nDuring this course\, you will spend maximum time on the water in Picos\, with the instructor close at hand to guide you safely and expertly throughout the day. All equipment is provided\, including a wetsuit and buoyancy aid. \nUpon successful completion of the course\, you’ll receive an RYA Stage 1 and Stage 2 certificate. Logbook and certificate included in the price. \nTimings: 10am – 4:30pm everyday \nRequirements \n\n\n\n\nWater Confidence \nNo prior knowledge or experience of sailing is needed to take up this course. \n10 – 15 years old \nBook now
