About Education and Youth Groups

If you are a school, alternative provision, a home educator or part of a youth group we are able to offer teachers and leaders the opportunity to develop their young people in a variety of skills in a number of adventurous activities.

With over 30 years of experience in the outdoors, we can tailor packages to meet the needs of your young people to get the outcomes you desire.

Whether this is developing their communication and team work, confidence, resilience or many other soft skills, or gaining qualifications in specific activities, or you just want them to have a good time, we can do it all.

“We had the pleasure of visiting your site today with a group of young adults with learning disabilities, and I wanted to extend a sincere thank you to you and your entire team. Your warmth, understanding, and support made all the difference—without it, the day simply wouldn’t have been as enjoyable, smooth, or safe for our group. We are truly grateful for the kindness and patience shown to us throughout our visit. We do apologise if we brought a bit of extra energy (or chaos!) to your peaceful location, but by welcoming us and enabling our members to take part in the activities, you gave them the chance to experience new, exciting things they wouldn't normally get to do. Please do pass on our thanks and appreciation to everyone involved in making today possible. It meant a lot to us—and even more to our young people.”

“Jack has really enjoyed his sailing and I hope to get him up to Ardingly for some more Sunday topper classes during the summer! I think it has been excellent and encouraged a lot of Scouts to get involved. Thanks again”

“In the past 8 years I have brought over 2000 boys and girls from Warden Park Academy to the Ardingly activity centre which is set in the beautiful location of the Ardingly reservoir. All these students experienced a great day of water sport fun and learning as they all did sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and raft building and racing, as well as develop important skills such as team work, perseverance and resilience. Every year these year 7 students rate this day as the best one they experienced during their enrichment week, and it comes top by a mile, as one student wrote this year; ‘The ultimate activity for me, has to be Ardingly! It was great fun- I got the chance to have another go at two activities I have already done (Kayaking and rafting), but also to try out new water sports, (Sailing and Windsurfing ). I enjoyed sailing so much, that I now want to go for a sailing session and try it out again!’ I would highly recommend this centre to anyone as the staff are very professional, knowledgeably, helpful and their organisation is excellent. I have already booked again for next year”
