Paddleboards, Kayaks, Windsurf and Dinghy hire
Paddleboard or Kayak Hire
Our equipment is available to hire by the hour, with competitive pricing to suit your needs. Buoyancy aids are included with every hire, and wetsuits are also available at no extra cost. Wetsuits are optional, so you can choose what’s most comfortable for you.
Hire Prices
- Paddleboard: £15 /hr
- Mega-SUP (4-Person): £45 /hr
- Single Kayak: £15 /hr
- Double Kayak: £20 /hr
For safety reasons, children under 9 years old must be directly supervised on the water, meaning they must share the same craft with an accompanying adult. Young people under 16 must also be supervised by an adult, but they are allowed to paddle their own craft under that supervision. The ratio of children to adults is 6:1.
Dinghy Hire
To hire our sailing boats, you must hold a minimum qualification of RYA Level 2 (adult) or RYA Stage 4 (junior). Proof of certification is required and must be shown either upon arrival or submitted in advance. Sailing boat hire is available to individuals aged 16+, who may go out on the water independently, provided they meet the qualification requirements.

Windsurf Hire
To hire our windsurf equipment, you must be confident and competent in the prevailing conditions. Windsurf hire is available to individuals aged 16 and over. Experienced windsurfers must wear a harness, while all other users are required to wear a buoyancy aid at all times.

Exclusion Zones
- South East Water have set an “Exclusion Zone” with a 10m radius from the outside of the ResMix unit by the Activity Centre end of the reservoir. Please do not enter the Exclusion Zone. Thank you for your cooperation.
- The Balcombe Arm of the reservoir is a no-boat zone. This includes stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, dinghies and rowers. This area is marked by two white marks in the water. Do not go past these.
- Causeway/Road Bridge: You are welcome to paddle up to the road bridge, however you are not allowed to go through the bridge.
