RYA Level 1 (Adult)

The RYA Level 1 – Start Sailing course is for complete beginners, and teaches you all the skills and theory necessary to get you helming a dinghy confidently, initially with an instructor in the boat. You will learn to sail on a reach, go-about, and how to stop the boat, progressing on to sailing upwind and downwind, During the two days, you will spend maximum time on the water in Wayfarer’s.

All equipment is provided, including a wetsuit and buoyancy aid.

This is a two-day course, 7 hours a day, and upon successful completion of the course, you’ll receive an RYA Level 1 certificate. Logbook and certificate included in the price.

We would recommend booking Level 1 and 2 if you wish to hire Dinghy’s.

At most RYA recognised centres the Level 2 is generally required and from experience the consecutive weekends or days works best for students learning to sail.

Timings: 9:30am – 4:30pm everyday
