RYA Level 2 (Adult)
The RYA Level 2 – Basic Skills Sailing course is for sailors who have competed Level 1 or have previous relevant sailing experience, it teaches you all the skills and theory necessary to get you helming a dinghy confidently on your own, Sailing around a triangular course using the 5 Essentials, leaving and returning to a shore, jetty or mooring, recovering a man overboard and capsize drill. During the two days, you will spend maximum time on the water in Wayfarer’s – with the opportunity of sailing a single-handed boat, with the instructor close at hand to guide you safely and expertly throughout the day.
All equipment is provided, including a wetsuit and buoyancy aid.
This qualification is the pre requisite to hiring dinghies at most RYA recognised centres
This is a two-day course, is 7 hours a day, and upon successful completion of the course, you’ll receive an RYA Level 2 certificate. Logbook and certificate included in the price.
Timings: 9:30am – 4.30pm everyday
