Ardingly Activity Centre is pleased to announce that we will begin a phased re-opening from 23rd May.
From 23rd May Season ticket sailors will be allowed to sail. They must keep to social distancing rules and are only allowed to sail in conditions which they are confident in. They must email the centre to pre-book their sessions.
From 24th May visitors with their own Paddleboards or Sit on Top kayaks and safety equipment will be allowed to launch on day tickets. They must call the centre to book and buy a day ticket prior to arrival at the site. They must also visit the Hire page to sign a disclaimer.
We are also beginning to take provisional bookings for all our courses. Please see “Phase 3” for further information.
Paddleboard and Sit on Top hires will be available from the 1stof June. Bookings must be made before arrival at the site over the phone. Please call 01444 892549 to make a booking. You must also sign a disclaimer prior to arrival, which can be found here.
Social distancing rules will apply at all times:
- A 2m social distancing rule will be enforced.
- Groups of more than 2 must belong to the same household.
- Instructors will not be able to assist launching and return of boards due to social distancing concerns.
There will be no access to the main building. The changing facilities and toilets will not be available at this time. The café will remain closed during this phase.
We will gradually start to allow sailing, kayaking, windsurfing and other courses to take place. In accordance with RYA guidelines, we cannot say for certain when this will be.
However, if you would like to book onto a course please download and complete a booking form. Please email the completed booking form to us, but do not send payment at this time – your booking form will act as a place saver. We will contact you as soon as we know for certain that courses will be running to confirm the details and to take payment.
If you would like to be notified of any changes by email, please sign up to our mailing list at the bottom of the page.
